Clayton is an author, culture journalist, and art critic. His latest book was published in May 2019 by Schiffer Publications. His cultural commentary has appeared in such renowned outlets like Vice and Hyperallergic, along with news and essays featured in dozens of other print and online publications.

In addition to his professional writing work, Clayton is a dedicated tutor who works diligently to help students of all levels gain confidence in their skills surrounding storytelling, composition, and grammar.

He enjoys working one-on-one to help with everything from individual projects to methods for general improvement. He believes that writing is an integral skill that anyone can master and approaches the tutoring process with equal measures of patience, humor, and zeal.

Clayton has a Bachelors in Communications and a Masters in Humanities from Dominican University of California.
